Driving past St Joseph and saw all the good reviews at this place so we decided to have lunch there. Simple home style Cafe and it was pretty good. I like the small simple menu and they have different specials everyday. Very good prices too. I ordered the Taco Burger with fries and it was really good. Everything tasted nice and fresh and good quality food. I like the crinkle fries. Wife ordered the "special" which was ham and bean soup and it was above average good. Plus she got three small sides with it and all three were good (deviled eggs, macaroni salad and potato salads). My daughter ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich and it looked and tasted very good. We got there at 1:35pm and they close at 2pm. They were very nice and had no problem seating us with less than half hour of closing. The service was great and the waitress was very friendly. I highly recommend this place.

This place is not autistic approved!! The best hash browns I have had in years!! Better than Waffle House!! The ladies there are very kind and don’t get me started on how large and tasty the cinnamon rolls are!!! My goodness! I recommend you bring cash before hand because they are a cash only place!! That’s the main thing you need to remember! Try to bring $20 for each person because their food is delicious!! Remember bring cash before hand. They don’t do card. That’s how you know the food is good is when it’s a cash only place.

Betty's is a downhome comfort food jem of an experience. Being new to the area we took the advice of locals who said "you gotta go to Betty's." We enjoyed a great sandwich, omelet, cinnamon roll with hashbrowns and gravey. But we were equally happy to see many other menu choices ... plus the very casual open atmosphere with people visiting with friends way beyond the meal. One of the proprietors, who herself must eat gluten free, had suggestions from the menu for one of our party. Betty's is definitely worth the adventure through the historical south side of St Joe.

Food is excellent as is the friendly service. Always busy but you can usually get seated right away or else customers will wave you to join them at their larger table. Best biscuits and gravy (gravy is not heavy) also corn beef hash is good and crispy. They have “Bubba” hash browns that are extra crispy with onions, jalapeños, and gravy. Cash only. It can get loud but you can still converse over it. Closed on Sundays and Mondays. Pies are fantastic and you should order as soon as you sit down and they will reserve your order because pie choices go quickly.

Visiting from Las Vegas, we were lucky enough to discover Betty's Cafe, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip! The service was outstanding, and our waitress, Lori, was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Omelette, and it was hands down the best omelette I've ever had. The food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The prices were also very reasonable, especially for the quality of the meal. We couldn't leave without trying the pie, and we're glad we did! The slices were huge, incredibly flavorful, and clearly homemade. My wife had the Banana Cream Pie with meringue topping, and I had the Coconut Cream Pie with meringue topping. Both were absolutely delicious and some of the best pie we've ever had. What really stood out was the atmosphere. Every employee seemed to genuinely take pride in the restaurant and worked together to make customers feel like family. If you're looking for a great breakfast spot with amazing food, excellent service, incredible pie, and a warm hometown feel, Betty's Cafe is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!
